The rumors these days is that NVIDIA is responding to AMD’s re-launch of its R9 290x with 8 GB VRAM.
It will be an interesting card if the GTX 980 with 8 GB will materialize because these will be the ultimate weapon for multi-GPU setups, especially with today’s realm of 4k resolutions. Also combined with a lot of mods and large amounts of anti aliasing, the VRAM get eaten up really quickly.
Also interesting will be how it will perform against the TITAN BLACK with 6 GB VRAM.
The card is allegedly landing in November this year and the GTX 960 it seams is queued for the first quarter of 2015.
